Third annual Taste of the North Shore raises money to fight cancer

The third annual Taste of the North Shore took place on Wednesday at the Acura of Peabody, featuring samples from several North Shore restaurants, entertainment and auctions to benefit the 2012 North Shore Cancer WALK/RUN.

Emmy-winning media personality Kim Carrigan served as auctioneer during the event as both a live and silent auction took place, with prizes such as a stay at a luxurious rental property in Jamaica, an authentic Major League Baseball autographed by former Red Sox Pitcher Curt Schilling, Red Sox tickets, gift certificates and prizes from many local businesses.

Restaurants offering tastes included Capt's Waterfront Bar & Grill, Legal Seafoods, Salem Waterfront Hotel, Henry's Market, Century House, Victoria Station, Shortcakes, Cape Ann Brewery, Sylvan Street Grill, Red Rock Bistro and others.
