Two charged with drunken driving in separate incidents
Two men were arrested in Braintree on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol this past weekend, police said.
Erik Tenczar, 31, of Duxbury, was arrested Saturday morning after he allegedly fell asleep at the intersection of Ivory and Union Street. Police responded to the call of the stopped car and found Tenczar asleep sitting up in the driver’s seat, police said.
After waking him up, police made Tenczar perform several sobriety tests and a Breathalyzer test. Police said the suspect's Breathalyzer reading was almost twice the legal limit of .08 percent.
Tenscar was charged with operating under the influence and placed under arrest.
Early Sunday morning, police arrested another man on the same charge.
Police said Christopher Kluth, 22, of East Providence, was seen speeding on Washington Street and crossing into the other lane of traffic. Officers pulled the car over after it almost hit the curb, and Kluth was placed under arrest and charged with OUI and failure to keep within marked lanes, police said.
