A Quincy man will face larceny charges after he allegedly stole $850 of merchandise from Sears at the South Shore Plaza.
According to police, a loss prevention officer informed Officers Paul Venuto and Matthey Heslam that she saw the Quincy man take a leather coat costing $250, put it on, and proceed to the lower level of the store.
The man then allegedly grabbed a $600 Craftsman tool set, then left the store and went to the parking lot.
Officers apprehended the man, who told them he was unemployed and planned to sell the merchandise for cash.
The manís name has not yet been released as he has not yet been charged. He will be summonsed to court on a charge of larceny over $250.
