Braintree High sophomore Tom Troy scored with 4:30 left in the third period to lead the Wamps past Xaverian 1-0 in the MIAA Division 1 South playoffs Wednesday.

Sophomore goalie James Cox recorded 25 saves in the shutout. The seventh-seeded Wamps (12-4-5) will play at second-seeded Barnstable (13-3-4) on Saturday. The time has not been determined for that game.

On the other side of the South Division 1 bracket, No. 9 Archbishop Williams (9-7-5) lost 5-1 to Natick (13-8). Matt Kustra and John Bishop each recording to goals and two assists for the winners, who play top-ranked Springfield Cathedral on Saturday.
