Braintree’s Community Preservation Committee will hold its annual public information hearing about current and upcoming projects on Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the Johnson Chambers at Braintree
Town Hall.

The committee will not only update the public on what has happened in the past year, but will also hear input from community members regarding ideas and concerns with upcoming projects.

Braintree adopted the Community Preservation Act in 2002, which dedicates a 1 percent property tax surcharge to historic preservation, the acquisition of open space, and the building of affordable housing. The local taxes are supplemented by state funds.
