Applications due Tuesday for CPA funds
Braintree's Community Preservation Committee will accept applications for Community Preservation Act funding until 3 p.m. this Tuesday, Sept. 6, at the Planning and Community Development Office at 90 Pond St.
CPA funding can be used for purchasing open space, historic preservation, and affordable housing projects throughout town. The money, collected from an annual surcharge of one percent on residents' property taxes, is then matched by the state from fees received from statewide real estate transactions.
According to the town’s website, parties interested in procuring CPA funds should consult with town staff prior to submitting an application, to make sure that it is complete.
