Police are looking for a suspect in an unarmed robbery of the Braintree Cooperative Bank after a man allegedly took a sum of money from the bank last Friday morning.
According to police, the suspect walked into the Braintree bank, located on Washington Street, shortly after 9 a.m. wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses.
When the bank teller asked for the man to remove both, he presented her with a note and leaned forward and demanded all large bills, police said.
According to detectives, the man was described as having a thin build, 25-30 years old, with a small amount of facial hair and possibly light brown hair. He was wearing blue jeans, a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, and a Cleveland Indians baseball hat.
He did not present any weapon and no one was injured, police said.
The suspect was given a sum of money and he fled with the robbery note, police said. The man was last seen turning right out of the bank and running towards the VFW building next to the bank.
A witness later saw him running towards Elm Street.
Police said a second man might have met up with the suspect outside the bank. The second suspect was described as wearing a white t-shirt and shorts, police said.
