Three people were arrested on drug charges this week in two separate incidents in Braintree.

According to police, officers arranged for a drug transaction at an undisclosed location to trap an alleged drug dealer on Wednesday evening.

Police said that the suspect arrived at the location at 7:30 p.m. and was met at the door by detectives from Braintree, Weymouth, and Quincy.

The suspect allegedly attempted to swallow the drugs, but detectives were able to recover two bags of heroin and $694 in cash. Police said the suspect was apprehended after a brief struggle.

Luis M. Perez, 26, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute and resisting arrest.

Two other people were arrested early Thursday morning after officers believed that one of the suspects was driving under the influence.

According to police, an officer observed a vehicle weaving in front of him, and pulled the car over.

After the suspects got out of the vehicle, officers found suboxone and diazepam pills, drug paraphernalia, and a digital scale with cocaine residue inside.

As a result, Ramona Hewlett, 46, of Hull and John H. Sweezey, 54, of Pembroke were arrested and charged with possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute.
