Braintree voters backed President Obama's re-election by a slight margin Tuesday, but favored incumbent US Senator Scott Brown over Democrat Elizabeth Warren.

According to preliminary results compiled by the Globe, Obama won Braintree by a margin of 10,015 to 9,217 over Republican Mitt Romney. Yet Braintree went against the state by voting for Brown by a margin of 11,031 for Brown to Warren’s 8,436.
