Police arrest man in heroin sale

A Dorchester man was arrested on Thursday after allegedly dealing drugs at a Braintree home.

According to police, officers were investigating the suspect and followed him to a Shaw Street home on Thursday evening. After a brief meeting in the driveway with a resident of the home, the suspect drove off.

Detectives followed the suspect while other officers spoke to the resident. According to police, the resident had purchased a single bag of heroin.

This resident’s name has not yet been released as he has not yet been charged.

While officers were following up with the resident, police following the first suspect stopped him on Cedar Cliff Road.

Luis M. Perez, 26, of Dorchester was placed under arrest and charged with distribution of heroin.

Braintree police also previously arrested Perez on Sept. 26 for allegedly selling heroin in Braintree.

Braintree police are looking for a suspect in an alleged bank robbery.

According to police, a man walked into Eastern Bank on Commercial Street on Friday and handed the teller a note demanding money.

The teller handed the man a sum of money and he took off down Quincy Avenue toward Quincy.

Police said that no weapon was shown and no one was injured.

The man was described as a white male, 5’6” to 5’7”, with a slender build. He was clean shaven, in his early 30s, wearing a dark knit hat with a white ring around it and a dark colored jacket.
