Quincy woman charged with OUI
A Quincy woman was arrested on Jan. 7 after she allegedly was found driving under the influence.
According to police, that afternoon another motorist reported that the suspect had exited her car on Common Street and fell down.
Officers responded and discovered that the suspect’s front tire was blown, possibly from striking the curb. Police also made observations of possible intoxication.
The suspect refused to perform any sobriety tests, and was placed under arrested.
At the station, the suspect consented to a breath test and had a reading over twice the legal limit of .08 percent.
Deborah J. Mielko, 57, from Quincy was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol (third offense) and intimidation of a witness after she allegedly made threats toward the arresting officer.
Braintree man arrested after driving erratically
A Braintree man was arrested on Jan. 9 after allegedly driving erractically throughout Braintree.
Another motorist called police that evening saying that the car was all over the road and the driver did not put his headlights on.
Police found the suspect on Peal Street and attempted to stop him, however the suspect continued to travel on Peal and onto Liberty, striking the curb twice along the way.
When the officer approached the suspect, he could smell a strong odor of alcohol on him and made other observations of possible intoxication.
The suspect agreed to perform several sobriety tests. He was then placed under arrest.
Paul. W. McAdams, 66, of Braintree was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol.
