Two teens were arrested on Monday after one of the boys allegedly pepper sprayed an 18-year-old Weymouth teen in the parking lot outside of Best Buy in Braintree.

According to police, the victim told police that he sells sneakers online and agreed to meet one of the suspects and sell him a pair of Nike Air Jordan sneakers.

While sitting in his vehicle, the victim said, he was approached by the suspect. The suspect then allegedly removed a can of pepper spray from his pocket, sprayed the victim with it, and then grabbed the sneakers and ran toward the stores.

The victim chased after him, telling a loss prevention officer in Best Buy of the incident. The officer followed the suspect to a car being driven by the other teen and called police.

Officers found both teens driving down Grossman Drive and pulled them over at the intersection with Union Street.

Both men were searched, and pepper spray was found, police said.

Tyler Sales, 17, of Brockton and Alex Allen, 18, of Canton were arrested and charged with armed robbery, conspiracy, and possession of a chemical propellant without an FID card.

Sales was also charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
