Police seeking armed robbery suspect

Two women were arrested and a third suspect is being sought in what Braintree Police describe as an armed robbery on one of the softball fields behind Flaherty School.

On Sunday, the victim told officers that he agreed to meet a woman, whom he had met online, behind the school. As the woman approached him, a man and another woman wearing bandanas over their faces approached him from behind.

According to the victim, the male suspect was carrying a pipe and the woman was carrying a handgun that she pointed at the victim’s chest.

When the couple demanded money, a struggle ensued, and the victim said he was struck in the back of the head with the pipe.

A sum of money was taken from the victim, police said, and he drove himself to South Shore Hospital for treatment of a minor injury.

Police spoke with the victim and identified the first person the victim had arranged to meet, and shortly thereafter went to her home.

Officers arrested Casey M. Millis, 17, of Braintree.

The female who had allegedly been wearing the bandana was also upstairs in Millis’s bedroom, police said.

Vanessa A. Glover, 20, from Quincy was also placed under arrest. A pellet gun and clothing police believe Glover wore during the robbery were recovered from the room.

Both women were charged with armed robbery while masked, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy.

Detectives are still seeking the identity of the male suspect involved in the robbery, police said.
