The Muddy River now functions as flood control, but the parks around it are historic and much-prized.

Join the Brookline Greenspace Alliance and Muddy River Restoration Project for their almost-annual Watershed Walk on Wednesday, Nov. 11 (Veteran’s Day) 1-2 pm.

The roughly one-mile walk starts at the parking lot opposite Brook House on Pond Avenue .

While it will focus on where the water comes from and where it goes, guides will also point out Allerton Overlook and other historic landscape elements along the way.

Refreshments at the Brook House follow. Details here or email info@brooklinegreenspace.org
