Greek composers featured at church concert Saturday

The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Brookline will present a concert of contemporary Greek composers Saturday night, Oct. 23.

Composer Panagioties Liaropoulos and The Greek Music Ensemble will play the music of Manos Hadzithakis, famous for “Never on Sunday,” Vangelis who wrote “Chariots of Fire,” and Mikis Theodorakis of the famous “Zorba the Greek.”

The concert will be at 8 p.m. in the Cathedral Center at 162 Goddard Ave.

Prior to the concert, there will be a cocktail reception at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased by calling 617-731-6633.
