Police have arrested three people on charges stemming from an alleged home invasion and robbery during a marijuana transaction in Brookline Wednesday.

Lavell Brown, 23, of Wilson, NC., and Tori Ellis, 20, of Rocky Mountain, NC. were arrested in Dorchester Thursday afternoon on charges of home invasion and armed robbery.

A third man, Terrence Daye, 21, of Columbia Road, Dorchester, was also arrested on charges of being an accessory after the fact and impeding a police investigation.

Brookline police said Brown and Ellis robbed a Brook Street resident in his home about 4:20 p.m. Wednesday. The resident, whose name has not been released, told police he’d agreed to provide a half-ounce of marijuana to Brown, who came with Ellis to the t home to retrieve the drugs, police said.

When the Brook Street resident reached for the drugs, Brown allegedly pulled a gun and took money, the drugs, a Charlie Card and other items. Brown then walked back to the front of the apartment where Ellis was and left. No one was injured in the robbery, police said.

Brookline Police learned that Daye had been seen in Brookline with Brown and Ellis shortly after the robbery, and police were then able to track down and arrest Daye in Dorchester Thursday, and arrested Brown and Ellis in a home on Washington Sreet in Dorchester Thursday afternoon.

Brown, Ellis and Daye were booked in Boston before being transferred to Brookline where they were expected to be arraigned Friday.

Brookline Police Sgt. Robert Disario said the resident of the Brook Street home who reported the robbery and was allegedly distributing marijuana has not been charged, but police are still investigating the incident.
