Brookline Police have released surveillance photos of a man suspected of several break-ins and attempted break-ins in Coolidge Corner early this morning.
Police believe the man smashed the front door at Fire Opal at 320 Harvard St. about 5:25 a.m. and took cash from the register. The same suspect is believed to have smashed the front door at Bottega Fiorentina at 313 Harvard St. at 5:42 a.m. where he took an unknown amount of money from the register, police said.
A surveillance camera behind the Coolidge Corner Clubhouse captured images of the suspect attempting to get in the back door, but he was unsuccessful there, police said, and failed to gain entry to several other businesses, as well.
Police said the man appears to be about 6-feet-tall, 25 to 35 years old, and was wearing a blue or purple New Era brand hat with a black T-shirt, light blue jeans and gray sneakers with white soles.
Anyone with information about the break-ins is being asked to contact Brookline Police at 617-730-2244.
