Brookline High School student Rachel Liu will be part of the grand finale performance of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Thursday in New York City.

Liu, who is 15-years old, will sing and dance with more than 100 students from the Stagedoor Manor summer camp performing arts center who will travel the entire parade route.

The students will also introduce Santa Claus at Herald Square by performing the number “Santa By The Book” from the new musical “Yes, Virginia The Musical.”

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade airs nationally on NBC-TV from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday.

This year is the fourth straight year that the New York state-based Stagedoor Manor students have participated in the parade.
