A group of Brookline students spent the weekend shoveling out their neighbor’s snow to raise money for the Boston-based Project Bread’s Walk for Hunger.

Pierce School students Sascha Wolf-Sorokin, Duncan Grant, Paul Miller-Schmidt, Maya Hertz and Aidan Nagle each shoveled snow Saturday to raise money for the walk.

The kids from the Kindergarten through 8th-grade school went door-to-door in Brookline before the storm asking for donations in return for shoveling. Combined with their other fundraising efforts, the “We Have Pierce Pride” team, led by teacher Jamie Yadoff, has raised more than $6,500 for the walk.

Donations can be made to the team online at www.projectbread.org/wehavepiercepride.
More information about Project Bread can be found at www.projectbread.org.
