Caroline Kennedy will be in Brookline next month promoting a new collection of poems just a couple of blocks from the birthplace of her late father, President John F. Kennedy.

Caroline Kennedy will be reading from her new book “Poems to Learn By Heart” at an event hosted by the Brookline Booksmith at the Coolidge Corner Theatre.

The Booksmith announced the reading Friday, and tickets go on sale later this month.

The book is a companion to Caroline Kennedy’s “A Family of Poems,” and the new collection of poems are about everything from sports to nature and friendship.

With each pre-order of “Poems to Learn by Heart,” readers will receive a free ticket and the option to buy up to three additional tickets for $5 each.

The pre-order books and tickets will be available beginning Feb. 25 by visiting brooklinebooksmith.com/tickets or by phone at 617-566-6660.
