The birthplace of the 35th president, located in Brookline and maintained by the National Park Service, will hold a brief ceremony with a wreath laying on Sunday.

President Johnson’s 1963 National Day of Mourning Proclamation will be read, and local religious leaders will offer their reflections. If you can’t make the ceremony, the site will be open to the public Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. Ceremony at 2 p.m. on Sunday, 83 Beals Street, Brookline.
