Formerly known as Burlington Pride Day, the event will include a carnival on the town common and adjacent the Simonds Park from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., followed by a children’s concert at Simonds Park from 6-7 p.m., a concert on the common for all ages from 7-9 p.m., and a fireworks display at 9 p.m.
The carnival will include live music, food, games, a magician, pony rides, fire truck rides, and hot air balloon rides. The Toe Jam Puppet Band is performing the children’s concert, while the Real School of Music, in Burlington’s All Star Band is performing the all ages concert. The fireworks display is being sponsored by Herb Chambers’ Honda and Audi Burlington dealerships.
Admisison to the day’s events is free, but the food will be sold by vendors. Now in its 33d year, Celebrate Burlington Day is being presented by the Recreation Department. The rain date is Sunday, Aug. 7.
