Cambridge Athletic Hall of Fame accepting nominations

The Cambridge Athletic Hall of Fame is accepting nominations for its fall 2012 induction dinner and ceremony.

The nomination deadline has been extended to Friday, Feb. 17, for the hall of fame, which recognizes individuals who through participation, support or interest have made outstanding contributions to Cambridge athletics.

Eligible candidates have helped bring recognition, honor, distinction and excellence to Cambridge High and Latin, Rindge Technical School and Cambridge Rindge and Latin School and its athletic program. Those making nominations should provide supportive information as to why a candidate would be deserving of induction.

The Cambridge Athletic Hall of Fame was established in 1981 and nominations are reviewed by the Cambridge Athletic Hall of Fame.

Nomination applications may be submitted to Maryann C. Cappello, Athletic Director, 617-349-6691, CRLS 459 Broadway, Cambridge, Ma. 02138.

Nomination forms are available online at http://crls.cpsd.us/athletics/hall_of_fame_nominations or by visiting the athletic office in person at the War Memorial, 1640 Cambridge St. Cambridge, Mass. 02138.
