Medford photographer George McLean shows how summer is in full bloom with colorful shots taken at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge and Watertown:

"Here is 'Blue Boy' the great blue heron I have followed around Mount Auburn for years. He even wintered over a few years back. If you want to see more of Mount Auburn wildlife  through my eyes, get the new 18-month calendar put out by the City of Cambridge.

"The Mount Auburn greenhouse area was alive with goldfinch Friday. The remarkable flowers put in by Kelly will bring butterflies and birds all summer."

"I always seem to come away with a photo or two at Mount Auburn. I came upon this wood duck gliding in the reeds along Willow Pond. He disappeared after I took this colorful picture."

"Most birders look at the goldfinch as a common bird, I happen to love them. A true bird of summer, flashing the brilliant yellow signal "I am here."
