Friday After Thanksgiving Chain Reaction in Cambridge next week
Thanksgiving next week will lead into MIT Museum’s 15th Annual Friday After Thanksgiving Chain Reaction event in which 25 teams will compete.
The Friday After Thanksgiving (F.A.T.) event will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23 in the Rockwell Cage Gymnasium at 120 Vassar St. in Cambridge.
Twenty five teams will create a unique mini-chain reaction machine and each mini-reaction will then be linked together with the help of artist and sculptor Arthur Ganson.
Once all of the contraptions are linked, the mega-chain reaction will be set off at 3:30 p.m. and will culminate with a surprise ending by Ganson.
The theme of this year’s event is Crystal Ball because crystal is the traditional 15th anniversary gift.
More information about the chain reaction event is available http://mit.edu/museum/programs/fat.html.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children ages 5-18 years old. Students with a student identification, MIT identification holders and children under 5 are admitted for free.
Tickets are available online.
