Talk on importance of hip-hop at Cambridge library tonight

Harvard and the City of Cambridge are co-sponsoring a discussion about the importance of hip-hop to the world’s youth tonight in the public library.

Harvard Professor Marcyliena Morgan, the executive director of the Hiphop Archive at Harvard University will give a talk entitled “Hip-Hop: The Lingua Franca of the World’s Youth,” at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the public library lecture hall at 449 Broadway.

Cambridge and Harvard’s Committee on African Studies are co-sponsoring the discussion, which is part of the city’s events celebrating Black History Month.
