The Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston has named Doug Hanna of S+H Construction the 2013 Remodeler of the Year for outstanding accomplishments within the home building and remodeling industry, according to a press release.

Hanna and his partner and co-president Alex Slive lead the award winning firm, located in 26 New Street.
For over 30 years, S+H has garnered an outstanding reputation for its integrity, professionalism, and innovate approach to construction. S+H collaborates with architects and other design professionals on complex to simple renovations and restorations and also offers a site work/landscaping division, a solar/renewable energy division for both residential and commercial properties, and a small jobs and maintenance division.
Hanna has served on the Governmental Affairs Committee of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Cambridge Youth Hockey League. He has worked extensively over the years with the Cambridge Historical Commission— S+H is well known for their expertise in historical restorations and renovations— and serves on the board of directors for the Cambridge Housing Assistance Fund (CHAF).
In addition to being a member of the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston, Mr. Hanna is a member of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
This year’s recipients will be honored at the Annual Awards Dinner taking place at the Newton Marriott on April 11th.
