Canton Irish Cultural Centre of New England to host Irish poet
The Irish Cultural Centre of New England in Canton will host Irish poet Peter Fallon, this year’s visiting scholar in Irish studies at Boston College.
Fallon will read from collections of his poetry and talk with the audience about the place of poetry and the written word in today’s publishing world. The events takes place on Thursday, Feb. 7, at 7:30 p.m. at the center, located at 200 New Boston Drive.
Fallon’s work addresses historic Irish tradition, political shifts, ecological challenges, and the natural beauty that is deep in the roots of the Irish way of life.
He also founded Dublin’s Gallery Press. His books will be available for purchase at the event.
