Canton police log: Feb. 18 to 24

The following information was taken from the Canton police logs. Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.

Monday, Feb. 18
Theft: At 2:20 p.m., police received a report of fraud from a Sumner Street resident. Someone used the resident’s credit card and charged $15,000 to the card.

Tuesday, Feb. 19
Theft: At 8:23 p.m., police received a report of a theft from a vehicle at Computershare on Royall Street. A GPS unit was taken. The vehicle was reported to be locked, but there was no damage to the vehicle.

Wednesday, Feb. 20
Arrest: At 12:21 a.m., police arrested Jason B. Toussaint, 22, of Randolph and charged him with a motor vehicle lights violation, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, having an unregistered motor vehicle, and citation for possession of a Class D drug. Toussaint was arrested at the intersection of Turnpike Street and Green Lodge Street.

Theft: At 8:31 a.m., police received a report of theft from Prospect Street. A resident bought Bruins tickets from an ad on craigslist.org that turned out to be fraudulent.

Theft: At 12:26 p.m., police received a report of theft From Homans Lane. Jewelry valued at $2,000 has turned up missing piece by piece over the past three weeks.

Thursday, Feb. 21
Fraud: At 7:33 p.m., police received a report of theft on Neponset Street. A resident responded to a fraudulent ad on rent.com, and sent a check for $1,800 to rent an apartment on Mission Hill.

Friday, Feb. 22
Arrest: At 8:41 a.m., police arrested Krista Pauly, 27, of Brighton and charged her with having an uninsured motor vehicle and driving with her registration revoked. Pauly was arrested at the intersection of Randolph Street and Turnpike Street.

Saturday, Feb. 23
Arrest: At 9:23 p.m., police responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Arboretum Way and Turnpike Street. One vehicle rear-ended another while both were attempting to turn left. No injuries were reported, but police arrested Miguel Rodrigues, 55, of Stoughton and charged him with operating under the influence of liquor. A passenger was taken into protective custody.

Sunday, Feb. 24
Malicious damage: At 11:40 a.m., police received a report of malicious damage on Mechanic Street. Someone threw eggs at a residence.
