Canton police log: April 1 to 7

The following information was taken from the Canton police log. Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.

Monday, April 1
Malicious damage: At 10:37 a.m., police received a report of malicious damage to a vehicle on Baily Court. The vehicle was scratched on the passenger side.

Break-in: At 11:06 a.m., police received a report of a break-in at the former Plymouth Rubber site on Revere Street. A fence was cut, resulting in $400 worth of damage, and some steel scraps and copper wire were taken.

Break-in: At 1:40 p.m., police received a report of a break-in at a café on Dan Road. A folding door was ripped from the wall and $150 in cash was removed from the register.

Thursday, April 4
Summons: At 10:49 a.m., police charged Ryan Davis, 25, of Raynham with having an uninsured motor vehicle, having a revoked registration and driving an unregistered motor vehicle. The summons was issued at Honey Dew Donuts on Neponset Street.

Fraud: At 6:36 p.m., police received a report of identity fraud from Turnpike Street. A person was applying for a job in Providence, R.I., and released his credit card information to a bar tender at the establishment. Later, the man found $500 worth of charges on his credit card.

Summons: At 7:27 p.m., police charged Carlton E. Haynes, 43, of Canton with domestic assault and battery. Haynes received the summons on Neponset Street.

Friday, April 5
Summons: At 5:10 p.m., police stopped a vehicle on Turnpike Street. Police charged John Dooley, 32, of Quincy with having an uninsured motor vehicle, having a revoked registration, driving an unregistered motor vehicle, and not having a registration in possession.

Sunday, April 7
Theft: At 1:59 p.m., police received a report of theft from a Green Lodge Street resident. An iPhone 5 was taken.

Arrest: At 4:27 p.m., police stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Whitman Road and Turnpike Street. Police arrested Anthony Picardi-Rivera, 23, of Canton and charged him with having an unregistered motor vehicle, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license, two counts of attaching plates, and on a warrant from Dedham District Court.

Theft: At 9:42 p.m., police received a report of stolen rings from a Royall Street hotel. Two rings, valued at $20,000 and $400 respectively, were taken.
