Canton police log: March 25 to 31

Monday, March 25
Fraud: At 2:06 p.m., police received a report of credit card fraud from a Sherman Street resident. Purchases totaling $1,000 were made in New York and Michigan.

Summons: At 5:01 p.m., police charged Richard James Martin, 34, of Canton with unlicensed operation of a vehicle and having no inspection sticker. Martin’s vehicle was stopped on Dedham Street.

Summons: At 8:37 p.m., police stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Bolivar and Washington streets. Police charged Robert D. Dearden, 23, of Canton with having an uninsured motor vehicle and having a revoked registration.

Tuesday, March 26
Fraud: At 3:39 p.m., police received a report of bank card fraud from a Nathaniel Way resident, with $630 taken.

Wednesday, March 27
Summons: At 3:20 p.m., police charged Jessie A. Peloquin, 22, of Westwood with identity fraud, uttering false document, forgery of a document, and four counts of credit card fraud under $250. Peloquin was apprehended at the 99 Restaurant on Turnpike Street.

Thursday, March 28
Breaking and entering: At 9:46 a.m., police received a report of an attempted break-in on Elm Street. A resident noticed an open screen door, and police determined there were pry marks on the door. No entry was gained and nothing was taken.

Arrest: At 7:11 p.m., police stopped a vehicle on Dedham Street and arrested Vanessa Gibson, 28, of Canton and charged her with speeding and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Friday, March 29
Arrest: At 12:03 a.m., police received a report of an armed robbery attempt at Austin’s Mobil on Washington Street. Police arrested Carlos Omar Santiago, 35, of Stoughton and charged him with armed assault to rob, attempt to commit a crime, and assault and battery.

Breaking and entering: At 9:03 a.m., police received a report of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle on Neponset Street. A window was smashed and items were rifled through, but nothing appeared to be missing.

Drugs: At 9:48 a.m., police located a bag of syringes and a cook spook with heroin on it at the intersection of Pleasant Street and Will Drive. Police called to have the items disposed of.

Saturday, March 30
Malicious damage: At 11:37 a.m., police received a report of malicious damage at St. John’s School on Washington Street. The door of a rear building was kicked in.

Breaking and entering: At 1:52 p.m., police received a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle on Maple Street. The vehicle was unlocked and nothing was taken.

Summons: At 5:42 p.m., police stopped a vehicle on Pine Street and charged Neddy Maude Bien-Aime, 37, of Canton with driving an uninsured motor vehicle and having a revoked registration.

Arrest: At 9:21 p.m., police stopped a vehicle on Turnpike Street. Police arrested Tracy L. Parks, 26, of Mattapan on a warrant out of Stoughton and additionally charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a miscellaneous vehicle equipment violation.

Arrest: At 11:22 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Bolivar Street. Police arrested Elias Camacho, 17, of Canton and charged him with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, assault and battery on a police officer, and intimidating a witness. Benjamin M. Kamin, 17, of Canton was issued a court summons on the charge of keeping a noisy and disorderly house.

Sunday, March 31
Accident: At 12 noon, police responded to an accident at the 99 Restaurant on Turnpike Street. Police issued a court summons to Morgan McCabe, 25, of Stoughton on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and a marked lanes violation. Two people were taken to Norwood Hospital with minor injuries.
