Charlestown streets have become a movie set this week, as Ryan Reynolds, Kevin Bacon, and others film "R.I.P.D.", a film about undead police officers. And Charlestown residents--and even the actors themselves--have taken to social media to record their sightings.

"Ryan Reynolds and I are hanging out! That or security is creeping closer as i stare him down as he films in my neighborhood," Twitter user @spagbals said today.

Others had some complaints about the filming. "Trucks take up the whole road!" @calisurf41 tweeted. The filming has led to some road closures and reduced parking.

Charlestown resident Dennis Moran asked the actors for a favor. "Guys, I live in Charlestown, would you mind swinging by my place to let my dog out? Beers are in the fridge. Thx," he tweeted this afternoon from @dvmoran.

One of the film's stars has been contributing several paparazzi shots of his own. Kevin Bacon's Twitter feed has been filled with "ShootBacks" from the filming, where he takes pictures of people taking pictures of him.

On Monday, @KevinBacon tweeted several pictures with that hash tag, with pictures of "the girls of Charlestown look for RR" and another pictures of a group of residents turned photographers.

Even the Warren Tavern, Charlestown's historic pub, is welcoming the stars. "Hello Tuesday and Ryan Reynolds!" @WarrenTavern tweeted today.
