Residents will vote on a bylaw at Town Meeting this spring that promotes farming.
John Bemis, a member of the town’s Agriculture Committee, submitted the article that will be up for consideration in April.

The bylaw highlights the importance of farming to the town, reiterates that farming is a valued and accepted activity, and is intended to help promote understanding between farmers and their neighbors.

“The idea is to get people to acknowledge that Concord is a farming community,’’ said Jeffrey Wieand, the chairman of the Board of Selectmen.
