An 84-year-old Maynard man died in Concord after the car he was driving veered off the road and into a snow bank on Wednesday morning, according to a statement from the Concord Police.

Police officers found Peter Porrazzo unconscious in his car at 9:56 a.m. in the area of 2194 Main Street. The car was running and the doors were locked, according to the statement.

Officers were able to unlock the car and pull Porrazzo out, and with the help of paramedics from an Armstrong Ambulance who happened to be passing by, attempted to give him CPR.

Porrazzo was taken to Emerson Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to the statement.

There were no other cars involved in the accident, according to Dispatcher Anthony Marabella. No information about what caused the accident was immediately available.
