The following was submitted by Calvary Episcopal Church:

This year, as part of the Danvers Family Festival, Calvary will be hosting an exciting, high visibility, town-wide marriage renewal ceremony – free and open to all faiths – at the Pavilion and lawn of the Peabody Library in Danvers.

There will be music, prayers, a marriage vow renewal ceremony presided over by the Rev. Thea, and a blessing of rings (new ones and/or the original ones). Participating couples will get a certificate to commemorate the renewal of their marriage vows.

Immediately following the ceremony, Calvary will be hosting a free reception for couples, their families and friends.

Local businesses that want to support the event by donating food and beverages will each have table space to promote their business and their goods.

The idea is to make this a true, all-inclusive town event, providing positive exposure to Danvers and celebrating all the families, friends, neighbors, businesses and organizations that help make our town so special.

Our Wedding Vow Renewal Ceremony and reception will take place on Saturday, June 16 (rain date is Sunday, June 17th), at 2 p.m., at the Pavilion. The reception will take place at Parish Hall, at the Church.
