Emanuel Hutcherson, Milton: Just one of two returnees from last year’s Division 2 state champs, the 6-foot-6 senior center scored 19 of his 23 points in the second half as the Wildcats topped Scituate, 68-57, in a Division 2 South semifinal game.

Jennifer Gemma, Fontbonne: The 5-foot-11 freshman from Milton picked up a double-double with 10 points and 10 boards as the Ducks rolled to the Division 3 South final by beating Medfield, 60-31.

Lauren Battista, Oliver Ames: The 6-foot Bentley-bound senior led the Tigers to a 59-33 win over Hockomock rival Foxborough in the Division 2 South semifinals with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and six steals.

Michaela Bowes, Mansfield: In the Hornets’ stunning 54-47 conquest of top-seeded Wellesley in the Division 1 South semifinals, the sophomore guard tallied 16 points, sinking 7 of 8 free throws down the stretch.

Ryan Pina, Wareham: The 6-foot-4 senior center led the Vikings with 21 points and 14 boards in a 79-65 win in the semis of the Division 3 South region.

Game of the Week

Madison Park 77, Brockton 72 (OT): For the second time in two tournament games, the Boxers overcame a big halftime deficit to force their opponents’ hands. Brockton spotted the Cardinals a 19-point lead at halftime, but thanks to senior guard Kyle Houston’s 18 points, nine assists, and six steals, the Boxers managed to push the game into overtime. Madison Park pulled out the win after kicking off OT with a 10-0 run.
