Calling (almost) all toxic substances: Your owners can finally be rid of you on Saturday during Dedham's annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day.

Dropoffs at the Department of Public Works facility at 55 River St. will be accepted from 9 a.m. to noon. However, cars must be in the line by 11:45 to be included, officials said.

The service is free, but proof of residency, like a driver's license, is required for the collection sponsored by the Dedham Board of Health.

Here's a partial list of what is, and isn't, accepted:

YES: glue, mothballs, artist and hobby supplies, photo chemicals, and chemistry sets. Floor and furniture polishes, nail polish and remover, week killers, fungicides, fertilizers, pool chemicals, insect repellants, and oil- and lead-based paints. Also, disinfectants, toilet bowl and drain cleaner, silver and copper polish, household chemicals, oven cleaners, paint removers, thinners, stains and varnishes. And antifreeze, gasoline, used motor oil, waxes, spot remover, and upholstry and rug cleaners.

NO: Latex and water-based paint, which can be dried out and tossed in the regular trash.
