Shoplifting, housebreak on police log

The following are excerpts from arrest and incident logs provided by
the Dedham Police Department. All suspects are presumed to be not guilty until proven otherwise in a court of law.

Oct. 7: Police report a white male, wearing tan pants and a baseball hat, stole a vacuum from Sears and fled on foot. Police arrested a 42-year-old Boston man and charged him with larceny over $250.

Oct.7: Police stopped a car at Turner and Alden streets at 9:52 p.m. and arrested a man on charges of possession of a Class B substance and operating with an expired license.

Oct. 6: Police report a black pickup truck struck a bicyclist traveling on East Street at about 9:30 p.m. The truck fled the scene, headed toward Route 1, police said.

Oct. 6: Police report a house on Dale Street was broken into and several items were taken. The break was reported at 6:30 p.m.

Oct. 5: Police say a neighbor called to report that suspicious people were entering a home on Pratt Avenue. Officers went to the scene and found a real estate broker showing a couple a home that was on the market.

Oct. 5: Police responded to a call from Legacy Place at 10:37 p.m. that a man was trapped between two cars. The man was freed and taken by ambulance to Beth Israel Hospital.

Oct. 5: Police received a call from Victoria’s Secret in Legacy Place that three white women fled the store with an unknown number of shoplifted items.
