Have an idea on how to make town government work better? The Dedham Solutions Task Force wants to hear it.

The task force -- formerly known as the Efficient Government Task Force -- is holding a public forum on Jan. 12 to get fresh ideas, said its chairman, David Martin. The committee’s mission is to evaluate current ways the town does business and find better and more efficient ways of delivering services.

“This isn’t your average town meeting,” Martin said.

Two rules apply to the forum, he said. Participants must keep an open mind, and if they’ve identified a problem, they can either propose a solution or present it to the task force for discussion, he said.

“No idea is too big or too small. This meeting is open to all, so please join us to make Dedham more efficient,” Martin said.

Anyone who can’t make the meeting -- which will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Dedham Middle School -- can submit ideas to solutions@dedham-ma.gov or mail them to Solutions Task Force, Town Administrator’s Office, Town of Dedham, 26 Bryant St., Dedham, MA 02027.
