Dedham is a member of the Metro Law Enforcement Council, a consortium of 43 local police and sheriff departments south of Boston, which has a special SWAT unit.

The Rashi School, a private school on the campus of New Bridge on the Charles retirement community, offered their facilities for training during the holiday vacation week.
