The basketball teams from Dedham High School both have a shot at the state title, as playoff brackets for the South Sectional playoffs were released by the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association on Friday.
The boys basketball team finished the season with a 11-9 record and was seeded 13th in Division 3 South. They will play the 20th-seeded Foxobrough Warriors (4-16) on Monday at 7 p.m. at home. The winner will travel to play at 4th-seeded Rockland (16-4) on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Medway and Martha's Vineyard won the top seeks in boys Division 3 South, each finishing the season with a record of 17-3.
The Dedham girls were seeded 17th in the Division 3 bracket, finishing with a 6-14 record. The Marauder's will travel to 16th-seeded Hanover on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The winner will play top-seeded Wareham on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Wareham.
Wareham and Norwell lead the Girls Division 3, finishing with nearly perfect seasons at 19-1.
