What's happening in Dedham this week

Here are some events taking place in Dedham this week.

Meetings: The Historic Districts Committee will meet Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Town Hall, 26 Bryant St. On Thursday, the Conservation Commission will meet in the lower conference room at Town Hall at 7 p.m.

Construction update: The permit parking area of the Keystone Parking lot in Dedham Square will be closed starting Monday. All cars must be moved by 6 a.m. or they will be towed. Follow the construction updates on the project website.

Featured photographer: Dedham photographer Bayre Lane Hall’s images will be featured this month at Mocha Java, 3 Eastern Ave.

Elementary school dance: As part of the Dedham Community House “TV turn-off week” activities, the Dedham Youth Commission will host a dance party for local elementary school students. The dance will be free and is scheduled for April 18 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Dedham Community House, 671 High St. More information about the event and TV turn-off week is available at www.dedham-ma.gove/tvto.

Choral concert: The Dedham Choral Society will hold its annual spring concert Friday at 8 p.m. at the New England Conservatory, 290 Huntington Ave., in Boston. Tickets are $35; the concert is themed “Classic to Romantic.”

Dedham schools: Students in Dedham public schools are off this week for the April vacation. Students return to class Monday, April 23. That day, Avery students will begin attending class in the new building.
