Boston and New York-based filmmaker, Gayle Ferraro, will hold a screening of her newest film, “Ganges: River to Heaven,” at Stil Studio in Legacy Place Oct. 14 during the yoga studio’s anniversary celebration.

A $10 donation at the entrance will go to Grameen Research, a nonprofit organization that works to support services for low-income populations, and Yoga Gives Back, a news release said.

The film follows four families’ struggles to grant a loved one’s final wish to go to heaven. It also tells the story of the sacred Ganges River in India that has become polluted from years of overuse.

Ferraro received a Masters degree in Public Administration from Harvard and another in Mass Communication from Boston University. She also studied International Human Rights Law at Oxford University.
