Dedham police log: Feb. 20 to 25

The following information was taken from the Dedham police logs. Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.

Wednesday, Feb. 20
Arrest: At 9:58 a.m., police arrested Mark E. Yaple, 52, of Norwood and charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense. Yaple also had two outstanding warrants. Yaple was arrested on Providence Highway.

Thursday, Feb. 21
Arrest: At 10:58 a.m., police arrested Scott J. Pedretti, 25, of Braintree and charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, a tinted glass violation and a miscellaneous motor vehicle equipment violation. Pedretti also had two outstanding warrants. Pedretti was arrested on Providence Highway.

Theft: At 12:53 p.m., police received a report of theft from Cedar Street.

Arrest: At 2:10 p.m., police received a report of a man inside of a vacant house on Washington Street. Police found a door open and heard sounds coming from the basement. Police found James F. Hadayia, 49, of Dedham in the building. Police arrested Hadayia and charged him with breaking and entering during the daytime, possession of a burglarious instrument and possession of a Class A substance.

Malicious damage: At 6:05 p.m., police received a report of malicious damage to a vehicle on Eastern Avenue. A vehicle parked in a parking lot was keyed sometime during the day.

Friday, Feb. 22

Malicious damage: At 9:17 a.m., police received a report of malicious damage to a vehicle on Providence Highway. The vehicle was keyed.

Fraud: At 12:39 p.m., police received a report of credit card fraud at O’Neil Drive. A resident was charged $425 over the phone.

Malicious damage: At 3:40 p.m., police received a report of malicious damage to a vehicle on Eastern Avenue. A passenger side mirror was damaged in a parking lot.

Fraud: At 6:30 p.m., police received a report of debit card fraud from Wiggin Avenue. The card number was used for a purchase in Florida for $178.20.

Saturday, Feb. 23
Arrest: At 11:48 a.m., police arrested Keith A. Morrison, 49, of East Weymouth on a warrant for failure to register as a sex offender. Morrison was arrested on Providence Highway.

Theft: At 2:04 p.m., police received a report of theft from a Providence Highway business. The caller reported that while checking out at a register, the cashier put his $40 in change on the counter and another customer took the money and left the store.

Sunday, Feb. 24
Fraud: At 1:23 p.m., police received a report of debit card fraud from Dale Street. The card was used for $814 worth of purchases.

Theft: At 6:10 p.m., police received a report of theft from a Providence Highway business. An employee’s iPad was stolen.

Monday, Feb. 25
Malicious damage: At 6:40 a.m., police received a report of malicious damage to a vehicle on Bow Avenue. Tires were slashed.

Theft: At 12 noon, police received a report of theft from Sanderson Avenue. An entire bread delivery was stolen.
