Dedham police log: Feb. 26 to March 5

The following information was taken from the Dedham police log. Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.

Tuesday, Feb. 26
Fraud: At 4:40 p.m., police received a report of credit card fraud from a Whiting Avenue resident. Two purchases were made at a Best Buy in Richfield, Minn.

Theft: At 6:57 p.m., police received a report of theft from a Village Avenue resident. Items were missing from the resident’s home.

Armed robbery: At 7:51 p.m., police received a report of an armed robbery on Allied Drive. A guest at a business on that street was robbed. Dispatch received a report of a hand injury, but the patient refused treatment.

Wednesday, Feb. 27
Malicious damage: At 3:57 a.m., police received a report of malicious damage to a Greenwood Avenue home. The rear door was damaged.

Malicious damage: At 3:26 p.m., police received a report of malicious damage at an Ariadne Road hotel. A television in one of the rooms, valued at $400, was damaged.

Housebreak: At 5:27 p.m., police received a report of a housebreak on Walnut Street.

Arrest: At 7:56 p.m., police responded to a report of a shoplifter at a Providence Highway business. Police arrested Joseph D. Cosby, 47, of Roslindale and charged him with a third offense of shoplifting by concealing merchandise. Cosby was also charged with warrants for three vehicle-related offenses out of Plymouth District Court.

Assault: At 9:42 p.m., police received a report of an assault outside of a restaurant on Mah Way. The female victim told police three young men had assaulted her. She refused medical treatment and police escorted her home.

Thursday, Feb. 28
Attempted housebreak: At 8:37 a.m., police received a report of an attempted housebreak on Sherman Road. The resident said a window had been opened. Police determined that it was unlikely anyone gained access to the home through the window.

Theft: At 12:24 p.m., police received a report of theft from Providence Highway. A phone valued at $600 was taken.

Arrest: At 12:31 p.m., police arrested Nicholas Deberry, 21, of Dedham and charged him with receiving stolen property greater than $250. The arrest was made on Bonham Road.

Arrest: At 1:03 p.m., police arrested Katherine Quinn Sacoco, 20, of Dedham and charged her with receiving stolen property greater than $250 and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Sacoco was arrested on Bonham Road.

Accident: At 7:14 p.m., police responded to an accident on Bridge Street involving a red 2008 Hyundai Elantra and a green 2001 Volkswagen Passat. One driver was transported by hospital to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, and the other driver declined to be taken by ambulance, instead being taken to a hospital by her father.

Theft: At 10:25 p.m., police received a report of theft from a Washington Street business. A former employee allegedly emptied the cash register.

Friday, March 1
Arrest: At 9:40 a.m., police arrested Smaily Medina-Sanchez, 25, of Dorchester on a federal warrant.

Theft: At 12:42 p.m., police received a report of theft from a Providence Highway business. Two Samsung Galaxy S3 phones were taken from a wall display.

Theft: At 3:45 p.m., police received a report of theft from East Street. A flat screen television and a VCR were taken.

Malicious damage: At 10:50 p.m., police received a report of malicious damage to a vehicle at a Providence Highway business. The vehicle was scratched with a key.

Saturday, March 2
Accident: At 5:36 p.m., police responded to an accident on High Street involving a black 2005 Cadillac Deville and a green 1997 Pontiac Grand Am. Two people were transported to Norwood Hospital.

Arrest: At 9:32 p.m., police arrested Jerry L. Webb Jr., 43, of Dedham on three warrants.

Malicious damage: At 10:59 p.m., police received a report of malicious damage to a vehicle on Providence Highway. A mirror was damaged.

Sunday, March 3
Malicious damage: At 12:16 p.m., police received a report of malicious damage to a vehicle on Ariadne Road. A driver’s side window was smashed.

Monday, March 4
Malicious damage: At 11:53 a.m., police received a report of malicious damage to a vehicle on Wiggin Avenue. The vehicle was scratched with a key.

Arrest: At 2:53 p.m., police arrested Peter F. Hadayia, 22, of Dedham and charged him with speeding and possession of a Class A substance. The arrest was made on Providence Highway.

Arrest: At 5:51 p.m., police arrested Neil P. Donohue Jr., 37, of Dedham and charged him with domestic assault and battery as well as three outstanding warrants. Donohue was arrested on Stafford Street.

Arrest: At 7:17 p.m., police arrested Jeramie Croft, 28, of Boston and charged him with larceny over $250. Croft was arrested at a Providence Highway business.

Tuesday, March 5
Malicious damage: At 9:54 a.m., police received a report of malicious damage to a vehicle on River Street. The rear window was smashed.

Fraud: At 12:18 p.m., police received a report of ATM card fraud from an Ash Street resident. The resident’s card was used without his permission.
