Dedham police log: March 6 to 13

The following information was taken from the Dedham police log. Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.

Thursday, March 7
Theft: At 1:41 a.m., police received a report of a stolen vehicle from a Washington Street parking lot. The vehicle, a blue 1996 Mazda B4000 pickup truck, was stolen sometime between 12:30 and 1 a.m.

Saturday, March 9
Shoplifting: At 3:38 p.m., police received a report of shoplifting at a Providence Highway business and found a 13-year-old youth who had taken $400 worth of merchandise. Police returned him to the station and notified his parents.

Sunday, March 10
Malicious damage: At 5:32 p.m., police received a report of malicious damage to a vehicle on High Street. The vehicle had been scratched with a key.

Monday, March 11
Arrest: At 8:18 a.m., police arrested Jason Dostie, 39, of Randolph and charged him with domestic assault and battery and two counts of malicious destruction of property greater than $250.

Accident: At 9:23 a.m., police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Providence Highway. One person was transported to Norwood Hospital with injuries.

Accident: At 2:01 p.m., police responded to an accident on Washington Street. One person was transported to Faulkner Hospital with injuries.

Tuesday, March 12
Accident: At 4:32 p.m., police responded to an accident on Bussey Street. A bicyclist fell in the roadway. The cyclist was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.
