Dedham police log: July 15 to 22

The following information was taken from the Dedham police log. Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.

Monday, July 15
Malicious damage: At 7:26 a.m., police received a report of malicious damage to a vehicle on Bayard Street. The rubber trim around the doors was damaged.

Malicious damage: At 10:34 a.m., police received a report of malicious damage to a vehicle on Whitehall Street. The passenger side rear tire was flattened and there was a gash made by a sharp object.

Tuesday, July 16
Attempted theft: At 3:20 p.m., police received a report of a scam call to a Fairbanks Road resident claiming to be from Medicare. The caller attempted to get bank information from the resident, but the resident called Medicare, which confirmed the call was a scam.

Housebreak: At 5:12 p.m., police received a report of a housebreak on Cunningham Road. The house was entered during the day.

Wednesday, July 17
Theft: At 6:09 a.m., police received a report of a stolen motorcycle on Denmark Street. The owner parked it at his home at 9 p.m. the previous night.

Theft: At 11:40 a.m., police received a report of a theft from a vehicle on Providence Highway. The theft took place at the Best Buy parking lot.

Theft: At 8:29 p.m., police received a report of a stolen bicycle on Allen Lane. The bicycle was described as a purple Mongoose.

Thursday, July 18
Arrest: At 11:04 a.m., police stopped a vehicle on Veterans Road. Police arrested Mario S. Lopez, 22, of Waltham and charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and resisting arrest.

Theft: At 11:59 a.m., police received a report of a stolen cell phone and iPad on Whiting Avenue.

Accident: At 3:12 p.m., police responded to a three-vehicle accident on Providence Highway. Two people were transported to Faulkner Hospital and one person was transported to Norwood Hospital.

Malicious damage: At 9:34 p.m., police received a report of malicious damage to a vehicle on Cedar Street. Tires were slashed on a YMCA van.

Friday, July 19
Malicious damage: At 12:30 p.m., police received a report of malicious damage to a vehicle on Cedar Street. Tires were slashed.

Assault: At 7:47 p.m., police received a report of an assault on Mah Way. Police encountered someone who said he was assaulted while eating in a restaurant. Police found the other person and discussed the assault with both people. No charges were filed.

Housebreak: At 11:50 p.m., police received a report of a housebreak on Clough Road. Jewelry and cash were taken from the resident’s bedroom.

Saturday, July 20
Arrest: At 3:25 a.m., police arrested Collin Anderson, 24, of Dorchester on a warrant for possession of a Class A substance.

Theft: At 1:08 p.m., police received a report of a stolen vehicle from East Access Trans, LLC, on High Street. A 2004 black Ford Crown Victoria was taken.

Theft: At 1:16 p.m., police received a report of a theft of lawn lights on Riverside Drive. Five of the resident’s eight lawn lights were taken overnight.

Sunday, July 21
Theft: At 8:04 a.m., police received a report of stolen solar lights and lawn ornaments on Maynard Road.

Theft: At 9:07 p.m., police received a report of theft from Rodgers Avenue. A grill was taken.
