Greenlodge Elementary School Principal Katherine Kiewlicz has retired after four years with the Dedham Public Schools.

She will be replaced by Philip Banios, who previously worked as assistant principal of the Pine Hill Elementary School in Sherborn.

Kiewlicz spearheaded an effort to get the school’s new logo painted on the gym wall. The logo spells out the school rules in the acronym REACH – Respect always, Excel academically, Act Responsibly, Care for others, Honest and trustworthy – and was produced by local Dedham artist Peter Reynolds.

Banios experience includes a principal post in Bedford prior to Sherborn, being an assistant principal in Groveland, and teaching experience in both second and fifth grades.

Kiewlicz previously worked five years as assistant principal at the Freeman Centennial School in Norfolk and got her Masters of Organizational Management, Educational Leadership, and Administration from Endicott College in 2007.
