Firefighters at scene of two fires in Dorchester this afternoon

Boston firefighters are battling two house fires in Dorchester this afternoon.

The two-alarm blazes broke out at 41 Norton Street and 699 Washington St. after 1 p.m.
today.

A fire department official says both blazes are under control. No injuries were reported.

Investigators are looking into the cause of the fires.

Officials said each building had several families which are now homeless.
