DotOUT, the Dorchester group that works to promote gay, lesbian, transgender and bisexual rights, voted last night at their At-Large City Councilor forum to endorse four candidates.

Members backed three At-Large incumbents Ayanna Pressley, Felix Arroyo and John Connolly.

At the group's meeting at Savin Hill Bar and Kitchen Sunday night, DotOUT also threw their support behind South Boston native and ex-City Councilor, Michael Flaherty.

Flaherty served on the City Council from 2000-2009 and as council president from 2002-2006. He left the council to challenge Mayor Thomas Menino for his seat in 2009.

At-Large candidates Sean Ryan and William Dorcena also participated in the forum.

According to the Dorchester Reporter, topics ranged from the Boston Redevelopment Authority to the South Boston Saint Patrick’s Day Parade, which excludes gay rights groups from participating.

Voters can choose four of the seven candidates for At-Large City Councilor during the general election Nov. 8.
